Anesthesia Technician II

About This Role

This role involves performing duties as an unlicensed assistive personnel in Anesthesiology, under the supervision of the RN operating room circulator and the direction of the anesthesiologist and/or Endoscopist. The incumbent will assist licensed anesthesia providers and perform additional duties as an Endoscopy Technician.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as unlicensed assistive personnel under the supervision of the RN operating room circulator
• Perform duties under the direction of the anesthesiologist and/or Endoscopist
• Provide assistance to the licensed anesthesia and provider in various settings
• Perform additional duties in an Endoscopy Technician role to broaden staff development opportunities
• Organize, maintain, and support anesthesia patient care
• Demonstrate understanding of patient anatomy
• Coordinate appropriate supplies and equipment based on patient's age, size and developmental level
• Responsible for regulatory compliance, staffing, supply inventory and ordering
• Coordinate daily assignments
• Report concerns and issues to the supervisor/manager

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent
• 3 years of experience
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers, issued by American Heart Association
• Must be able to speak, read and write English

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent
• 3 years of experience, with a minimum of 3 years as an anesthesia tech

Nice to Have

• 5 years of experience
• National Certified Anesthesia Technician
• PALS certified
• Previous Anesthesia Tech II experience
• Graduate from an Accredited Anesthesia Technician Program
• GTS Certification within two years of training
