Join the Production Team as an Ambulance Conversion Technician to assemble production units (Vans) by performing tasks from vehicle preparation through the assembly process to a completed unit. This role involves training on multiple assembly stations and reports to a Line Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle for conversion process by removing interior components
- Cut out/remove bumper and floor sections
- Reroute electrical harnesses
- Assemble and install conversion components such as seats, flooring, and interior panels
- Assemble and install electrical harnesses and other components
- Assemble and install gas tank assemblies
- Install and test vehicle air conditioning units
- Utilize work order processing software
- Participate in departmental meetings and training
- Abide by all OSHA safety requirements including use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Requirements
- Familiarity with basic hand and power tools, automobile mechanics, and electrical systems
- Ability to individually lift 50-100 pounds
- Physical ability to work a full day lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling in a non-environmentally controlled and loud work environment
- Ability to judge distances and read signs
- Valid Driver's License
