The Aircraft Maintenance Estimator prepares approved proposals for Regional Sales Managers by compiling labor hours, material estimates, and service requirements for aircraft maintenance. This role involves interfacing with internal teams and external vendors to define work scope, estimate costs, and ensure proposal accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement inspection, service bulletin, and modification estimates by providing base cost estimates for labor hours, material, and services relating to Maintenance.
- Maintain close communication with Sales, Engineering, operations, scheduling, and Dassault Customer Services for continuous maintenance and development of product roadmap.
- Work with vendors to improve relationships and product partnerships.
- Assist in defining, implementing, and continuously improving product development processes.
- Ensure products are consistently created and maintained in Corridor and other company systems.
- Update Sales & Marketing with information of new products, upcoming products, and changes with vendors.
- Maintain an up-to-date list of costs of materials to be used in proposal estimates and collect and maintain actual to estimated job files.
- Work closely with operations to develop estimates on labor hours per task, turn-time, material/services requirements, lead time, and scheduled events' flat rates.
- Create preliminary and final customer proposals for presentation to the Regional Sales Manager and customer.
- Adhere to Dassault Aircraft Services General Work Rules and ethics.
Requirements
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience with aircraft airframe maintenance
- Skilled in researching methods for obtaining technical information
- Working knowledge of Service Bulletins and other technical documents
- Working knowledge of aircraft maintenance programs, OCIP and Chapter 5 maintenance
- Working knowledge of customer maintenance programs, procedures, and instructions
- Computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate MS Office programs, databases, email, web-based applications, and Falcon Jet Customer Services specific software (i.e. Corridor)
- Working knowledge of applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (e.g., part 91, 135 and 145) and other certification requirements (e.g., STC, TC, EASA and 8110 approval bases)
Qualifications
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience with aircraft airframe maintenance.

- Previous experience working in a customer service-oriented environment
- Written and verbal skills in developing and explaining technical airframe work scopes
- Planning and organizational skills necessary to prioritize and coordinate workload within a multi-task setting
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interface, establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management, vendors, and customers
- Ability to articulate product benefits while interfacing with Customers and our Sales team.
