The Air Operations Coordinator is responsible for securing air travel, calculating pricing, and managing reservations for retail passengers on Collette's tour series. This role ensures timely and cost-effective air schedules while maintaining high quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Create air reservations for standard bookings where the air server failed
- Calculate pricing for created air reservations to ensure appropriate margins
- Process all special requests for retail reservations in a timely manner
- Proof all air reservations created by the Air Server in NEO for quality standards
- Verify correct pricing according to air contracts
- Verify flights meet time restrictions of the package
- Verify connection times meet company and airline policies
- Request seat assignments, wheelchair assistance, and special meals with carriers
- Process Frequent Flyer information to the airline
- Coordinate and provide timely turnaround on retail air reservation changes
- Assist with re-protecting passenger air due to schedule changes
- Research service issues and determine best action for recovery resolution
- Cover emergencies on pre-scheduled Saturdays/Holidays
- Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned
- Maintain a clean, organized, and neat work environment
Requirements
- Skill in customer service
- Knowledge of air operations, quality control procedures and reporting documentation
- Microsoft Office program experience
- Ability to work as part of a Team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule work assignments
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to create, compose and edit written materials
- Ability to plan and organize to optimize productivity
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of a GDS system (Sabre, Amadeus)
