Lead the successful launch of new programs by ensuring all quality milestones are met from initial concept to final approved PAP. You will support launch activities at various stages including pre-production builds and supplier evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Perform Advanced Quality Planning activities such as PFMEA, Pre-Production Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams and In-Process Inspection Sheets
- Manage Quality deliverables for each project phase for GPCS
- Conduct Customer quality strategy, GD&T reviews, Check fixture design reviews, documentation reviews, pre-buyoff buyoff activities and PPA/PPAP
- Oversee pre-production builds and documentation requested by the customer
- Manage Launch containment (GP12) activities
- Assist in the development of dimensional control strategies and the design and procurement of gages and instruments
- Coordinate MSA / Gage R&R studies and perform Gage buyoff
- Ensure successful delivery of PPAP and launch for programs and engineering changes
Requirements
- 5+ years experience as Quality Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Technical expertise using quality tools (APQP, PPAP, IATF16949, 8D, etc.)
- Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement (Lessons Learned)
- New product launch experience and APQP
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quality, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent level of experience
- 5+ years experience as Quality Engineer
