Provide direct patient care through evaluation, management, and treatment, working under the guidance of collaborating physicians. Interpret patient data and prescribe appropriate pharmacologic medicine while collaborating with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients, review medical history, and perform appropriate physical exams in a medical office setting
- Interpret and evaluate patient data as authorized by the physician to determine the management and treatment of patients
- Consult with a physician as appropriate
- Prescribe, recommend, and regulate appropriate pharmacologic medicine
- Work closely with physicians and other members of the healthcare team in a collaborative effort to provide optimal patient care
Requirements
- Current NP or PA-C license
- Master's Degree in Nursing/Physician Assistant program
- Current BLS and CPR certification
- A minimum of 2-5 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in a clinical setting
- Knowledge of EMR systems
