This role is for an experienced neonatology Advanced Practice Provider to staff the Level III NICU at Studer Family Children's Hospital. You will manage and provide care for neonatal intensive care patients in collaboration with neonatologists and other team members, including rounding, conducting interviews, ordering tests, and performing procedures.
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide care for patients requiring neonatal intensive care in the Level III NICU
- Collaborate with team members and attending neonatologists on patient care
- Conduct parent interviews and take family history
- Order appropriate laboratory tests and procedures
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as necessary
- Review and provide general care items for neonatal patients
- Complete timely documentation as required by departmental policy and Nemours standards
- Participate in meeting department goals
- Participate in daily rounds in NICU
Requirements
- Experience as a Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider
- Active Physician Assistant license in Florida OR active Advanced Practice Nurse/Physician Assistant Licensure
- Current AHA BLS certification
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation OR active Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure/Physician Assistant Licensure
- Experienced casual and part time Neonatal Advanced Practice Providers
