About This Role

This role involves providing online Adult ESL/ELL tutoring to students through the Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform, empowering individuals to achieve their learning goals from home with flexible hours and competitive pay.

Responsibilities

  • Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like
  • Tutor remotely using the purpose-built Live Learning Platform
  • Get matched with students best-suited to your teaching style and expertise
  • Invoice for your tutoring sessions
  • Provide personalized instruction to individual students
  • Accept on-demand tutoring requests whenever you’re available

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills
  • Friendly, engaging teaching style
  • Expertise in Adult ESL/ELL and the ability to explain concepts clearly
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles

Nice to Have

  • Tutoring experience
  • Teaching experience
  • Graduate-level education
