About This Role

This role provides high-level administrative leadership and support to the Vice President of Government & Community Relations and senior leadership within the department. The Administrative Operations Manager develops and implements strategic organizational systems and programs to optimize office operations for Temple University's Government and Community Relations Department.

Responsibilities

  • Manage office budgets and expenses
  • Schedule and maintain calendars of meetings, events, and appointments
  • Ensure meeting agendas, materials, and logistics are professional and prepared
  • Manage logistics associated with business travel and expense reimbursement
  • Serve as a point of contact for lobbying registration, reporting, and compliance at local, state, and federal levels
  • Support legislative and community engagement strategies through research, outreach, and follow-up
  • Assist with special projects for government & community communications, report generation, and filing systems
  • Coordinate research, outreach, and follow-up activities for legislative, regulatory, and community engagement strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of executive-level administrative experience
  • Experience managing budgets
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Project management skills
  • Research skills
  • Technology savviness/computer experience
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Demonstrated scheduling, word processing, spreadsheet, and database management experience
  • Ability to handle confidential information

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least five years of related executive-level administrative experience, with experience managing budgets.

  • Experience with lobbying registration and reporting requirements
  • Prior experience supporting senior executives
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal government relations in a higher education context
