About This Role

This Administrative Assistant Principal position assists the principal, teachers, and instructional staff with the compliance, coordination, and improvement of school programs to benefit students at Leaphart Elementary School.

Responsibilities

• Assist the principal, teachers, and instructional staff with the compliance, coordination, and improvement of school programs to benefit students
• Support supervision of staff and students
• Coordinate assessments related to special education services
• Assist with staff development
• Conduct required professional observations and evaluations in accordance with district and state guidelines
• Coordinate placement of student teachers and practicum participants
• Support special services staff in providing consultative support within general education settings

Requirements

• Minimum of three years' teaching experience within the school's grade span
• Acceptable certifications at the elementary level: Elementary Principal Tier I or II, Elementary Supervisor, or Early Childhood/Elementary or any Pre-K12 certification area when combined with current enrollment in an approved Elementary Principal certification program
• Acceptable certifications at the secondary level: Secondary Principal Tier I or II, Secondary Supervisor, or any High School, PK12, or CATE certification area when combined with current enrollment in an approved Secondary Principal certification program

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years' teaching experience within the school's grade span.
