Addiction Specialist

About This Role

Join our team in Pittsburgh, PA as a highly skilled and compassionate Addiction Specialist. This role involves providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues through assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling in a Medication-Assisted Outpatient Treatment Facility, in person and via telehealth
• Collaborate with other treatment providers to assist clients as needed
• Complete individualized treatment plans
• Schedule and complete counseling appointments
• Write all required documentation, devising appropriate interventions and treatment plans
• Complete annual educational requirements
• Seek and respond to supervision
• Report to work on time and as scheduled, complete work within designated time
• Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks

Requirements

• Strong background in addiction counseling and treatment
• One year of experience in drug and alcohol counseling
• Bachelor's Degree or master's degree in human services field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic computer skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or master's degree in human services field (e.g., Addiction Counseling, Anthropology, Audiology, Art Therapy, Behavioral Health, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Nutrition, Physical Therapy)
• One year of experience in drug and alcohol counseling
