Join our team in Pittsburgh, PA as a highly skilled and compassionate Addiction Specialist. This role involves providing support and guidance to individuals struggling with substance abuse issues through assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling in a Medication-Assisted Outpatient Treatment Facility, in person and via telehealth
- Collaborate with other treatment providers to assist clients as needed
- Complete individualized treatment plans
- Schedule and complete counseling appointments
- Write all required documentation, devising appropriate interventions and treatment plans
- Complete annual educational requirements
- Seek and respond to supervision
- Report to work on time and as scheduled, complete work within designated time
- Demonstrate ability to handle multiple tasks
Requirements
- Strong background in addiction counseling and treatment
- One year of experience in drug and alcohol counseling
- Bachelor's Degree or master's degree in human services field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or master's degree in human services field (e.g., Addiction Counseling, Anthropology, Audiology, Art Therapy, Behavioral Health, Criminology, Criminal Justice, Nutrition, Physical Therapy)
- One year of experience in drug and alcohol counseling
