Affect is seeking compassionate, licensed Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors in New Mexico to provide fully remote, evidence-based care to Members across the U.S. This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about recovery and are looking for a sustainable, flexible, and mission-driven telehealth environment. The counselor will make a meaningful impact in recovery for individuals with substance use disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments and evaluate Member readiness for care
- Facilitate virtual individual and group counseling sessions using Affect's evidence-based curriculum
- Provide crisis support and coordinate referrals when needed
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation in our EMR
- Collaborate with clinical supervisors on treatment planning and discharge
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and applicable state regulations
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted New Mexico license (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, LISW, or LADAC)
- Experience working with substance use disorder populations
- Comfort providing care via telehealth platforms
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Private, HIPAA-compliant workspace with reliable internet
