This ACM Officership encompasses various roles across multiple departments, allowing students to contribute to research, industry relations, technology development, content creation, external partnerships, event logistics, or financial administration for the largest computer science community at ASU.
Responsibilities
- Identify, contact, and confirm Professors and Graduate students for panels and talks
- Read and summarize Graduate/PhD level material for event content
- Host academic events and moderate panels
- Write weekly student newsletter segments focusing on research and pathways
- Attend bi-weekly team meetings and twice-weekly 1:1 syncs with the Director
- Execute industry outreach campaigns to secure speakers and guests
- Manage and update the Sponsorship Packet; secure corporate funding
- Host industry-focused events and facilitate networking sessions
- Curate the Industry Newsletter featuring insights, skills/tools, and job opportunities
- Research and present on industry pathways and required skills
- Maintain the ACM Website, Discord server bots, and manage Passbolt password manager
- Handle database management and analytics tracking
- Create and maintain SOPs, technical guides, forms, and templates
- Implement gamification strategies for member engagement and digital hospitality
- Create and edit YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and manage the YouTube channel
- Handle pre-event promotions and capture post-event photos/learnings
- Create and manage LinkedIn events and general social media posting
- Edit and refine the Sponsorship Packet and digital assets
- Collaborate with other student organizations for joint events
- Coordinate cross-posting strategies with partner clubs
- Assist in securing and maintaining corporate sponsorships
- Handle room bookings, Zoom room setup, banner placement, and tablecloth setup
- Manage check-in processes and maintain attendee lists
- Handle event recording and event photography
- Handle Budget Requests (BR), Purchase Requests (PR), and ordering supplies
- Manage Dean’s Points tracking and SDC event creation
- Secure venues for all ACM events
Requirements
