This Account Executive role involves the strategic coordination and execution of client marketing, servicing, risk management, and sales activities, specifically focusing on a transportation book of business. The role aims to manage client relationships, increase account retention, and resolve complex customer service issues while identifying new sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Direct daily activities and workflow of the account team
- Maintain high technical competence and industry expertise in commercial lines insurance
- Ensure beneficial outcomes using discretion and judgment
- Manage client relationships, conduct meetings, and close business deals
- Act as a communication conduit between Producers and the account team
- Manage account activities including policy administration, billing, and claims
- Manage policy expirations and renewals for clients
- Conduct research, gather information, prepare submissions, and bind coverage for new business and renewals
- Monitor reports and collect outstanding balances for accounts receivable
- Maintain data accuracy in agency management systems
- Deliver excellent service, anticipate client needs, and respond quickly to requests
- Stay updated on company policies and procedures
- Seek and adopt best practices to improve individual and team performance
- Demonstrate integrity and leadership, championing IOA Values
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience, or 7 years of sales, marketing, or relationship management experience
- Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
- Experience to service and support large, complex accounts
- Active insurance licensing
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- High School Diploma (or equivalent)
