About This Role

This role is responsible for the strategic coordination and execution of client marketing, servicing, risk management, and sales activities within the transportation sector. The Account Executive will manage a book of business, increase account retention, and resolve complex customer service problems, while actively identifying sales opportunities to grow IOA business.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily activities and workflow of the account team
  • Maintain high technical competence and industry expertise in commercial insurance, particularly transportation
  • Ensure beneficial outcomes using discretion and judgment
  • Manage client relationships, conduct meetings, and close business
  • Act as a communication conduit between Producers and the account team
  • Manage account activities, including policy administration, billing, and claims
  • Manage policy expirations and renewals
  • Conduct research, gather information, prepare submissions, and bind coverage for new business and renewals
  • Monitor accounts receivable reports and collect outstanding balances
  • Maintain data accuracy in agency management systems
  • Ensure timely completion of activities
  • Deliver excellent service, anticipate client needs, and respond quickly to requests
  • Stay updated on company policies and procedures
  • Seek and adopt best practices to improve individual and team performance
  • Champion IOA Values, demonstrating integrity and leadership

Requirements

  • 5+ years of industry experience, or 7 years of sales, marketing, or relationship management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
  • Experience to service and support large, complex accounts
  • Required active licensing
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years of industry experience, or 7 years of sales, marketing, or relationship management experience
