Academic Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician

About This Role

This role is for an Academic Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician responsible for clinical excellence and clinical teaching within the Section of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. The physician will provide inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of children with infectious diseases at Brenner Children’s Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of children with suspected or proven infectious diseases at Brenner Children’s Hospital
• Expand ambulatory infectious disease operations as opportunities arise
• Teach and supervise medical students and residents

Requirements

• MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree
• Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Infectious Diseases
• Eligibility for a North Carolina medical license
• Excellent clinical and teaching skills

• MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent
• New fellowship graduates are welcome to apply

• Strong interest, training, and/or expertise in pediatric infection prevention and/or antimicrobial stewardship
