3rd Shift Quality Assurance Lab Tech

About This Role

The QA Lab Tech ensures product quality by conducting hourly lab tests on finished products, operating x-ray machines, and performing visual quality checks. This role involves accurate data entry into the ERP system and adherence to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly lab tests on finished product packages weight
• Perform statistical averaging of test results
• Communicate test results to the shift supervisor and other key personnel
• Operate x-ray machines to inspect and test products
• Sample product and report results in a timely manner
• Compile product, package, and ingredient data as required
• Perform visual quality checks and locate products in the warehouse, production, and storage environment
• Learn testing processes and proper operating procedures for quality assurance lab equipment
• Communicate issues and information between shifts as required
• Abide by all Safe Quality Foods (SQF) policies

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to lift 25 pounds
• Ability to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water
• Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment
• Good balance on slippery surfaces
• Ability to sustain concentration for up to 3 hours at a time
• Ability to stand on a production floor 3 hours at a time
• Ability to complete a background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Ability to pass a preplacement screening for physical requirements
